Can we just talk about Sam in that scene from 12.22? Can we talk about how he walked along the walls to get into the room where Toni was waiting? Sam stopped, angled slightly behind Dean, and didn’t move. When Dean approached Toni, Sam remained right up against that wall, closer to potential exits, as Toni continued to tower over him in the center of the room. Even when he finally moved forward to propose his plan of escape, it was just a couple steps, and he was still far behind Dean. Bless the writers if this was their work, and bless Jared Padalecki if this was yet another bit of unscripted brilliance.
