Louder Than Words ‘Verse  Jared throws a party for his best friend, looking forward to meeting the girl in his life. Jensen wasn’t quite what he was expecting.

Signs and Wonders This is a comment fic for roque_clasique’s Birthday Comment Fic Meme. The prompt was Deaf!Jensen and interpreter!Jared. (They don’t know each other until Jared is assigned to interpret for him… maybe in class? Maybe they’re in college?)

After Ever   Jared is a kindhearted, hard-working guy plagued with low self-esteem. Stuck in a prolonged adolescence, he is enabled by dysfunctional personal relationships. When he meets and begins to date Jensen online, Jensen first is a friendly voice in the dark, but when they finally meet face-to-face Jared realizes Jensen is nothing like he expected. It becomes Jared’s challenge to earn Jensen’s hardened heart, to overcome the barrier Jensen’s deafness creates between them, and to discover that first we must love ourselves before we can be truly happy.

The Quiet ‘Verse  Jared is an amateur pianist who unexpectedly begins to regain his confidence from his teacher’s cousin.

Carve Your Name, You’re in My Blood  Just your typical deaf!Jensen, foster kid!J2…a bit angsty, but at least Jared and Jensen have each other. 🙂

The Coffee House  Jensen is a hard-of hearing art student, and Jared is the mumbling barista who always comments on Jensen’s sketches while poor Jen is just trying to enjoy a cup of coffee. Jensen always mishears Jared, and thinks Jared is a complete and total asshole.

If You’re Out There  How do you fight back when you can’t seem to find your voice? Jensen is doing his best to get by in an abusive household while protecting his younger sister, but as the bruises continue to grow deeper he doesn’t know how much more he can take. Jared is doing his best to hold them all together, until Jensen takes matters into his own hands. Suddenly thrust upon unexpected journeys, Jared and Jensen will both have to walk alone in order to discover themselves and a way back.

Mixed Doubles Jensen Ackles runs a dating agency for ordinary clients and also for those clients who have special needs or disabilities. Jensen is proud of his agency and he has had a lot of successful pairings. Jared Padalecki is deaf and has never really had a proper relationship. He hates speaking and works in a library where he can be silent and almost invisible. Jared joins Jensen’s agency and Jensen finds him a lot of different dates. However, despite his rule never to date clients, Jensen knows who the best date for Jared would be. Jared’s run in with slime ball Mark proves Jensen right but has he left it too late to give Jared the date he deserves?

Out of the Silence  When hardened, but lonely cop, Jensen Ackles meets Jared Padalecki in his family’s diner, he doesn’t realise that his life is about to change drastically. Jared is a complete innocent, deaf, mute and unable to communicate, he needs a friend. Can Jensen be that man?

The Convergence of the Twain  Jensen doesn’t really understand why this kid’s so special, and Jared can’t really explain what it is about Jensen that makes him want to be happy, but neither of them can walk away from this. Because Jared needs someone to see him, and Jensen needs someone to hear him, and who would’ve thought they’d find their whole in another half that’s just as broken. Jensen is an anchor in Jared’s storm, Jared is a light in Jensen’s darkness, and neither of them wants to give up on what they’ve never thought they could have. It’s a meeting that shakes the foundation to two worlds indelibly, this convergence of a twain.

Take My Hand – Dean has been running from Sam.  Sam finds him in the night, in his dreams ~ (Or the one where Sam uses his powers to fuck Dean while he’s not even there. Dub-con, OC death)

To The End – The world has ended, Sam has turned, and Dean stops running ~ (In order to save Dean, Sam turns darkside and brings back the other physic children, although they’re wrong.  Mentions of character death, dub-con)

Dare Frame Thy Fearful Symmetry – Dean has been in hell as Sam and Lucifer conquer the world.  Sam goes to find him and bring him back to his side, only to find Dean significantly more animalistic than before ~ (Happy ending in this one.  Dub-con, because Dean cannot consent)

until this echo can subside – Sam opens hell’s gates. Now he wants to kill Dean, or so Dean’s heard ~ (Another happier ending.  Dub-con)

Healthy, Happy, and His – Sam gets frustrated with Dean being “slutty” ~ (Evil!Sam, non-con, OC character death.  NOT a happy fic)

Let Your Sins Be Strong – The world is a mess and Sam just needs to rule it.  Dean’s not so on board with that plan.  ~ (Possibly my FAVORITE Boy King Sam fic ever.  Sam is a little darker than in canon, but overall, much the same.  There is some OC character death, and mentions of war, but overall, happy ending fic.  Also hot.)

The Incestuous Courtship of the AntiChrist’s Bride – Sam is trying to take over the world and accidentally signs Dean up as his Beloved Consort.  Which requires sex.  On an alter.  ~ (Possibly the staple of the Boy King Sam fics, no rec list would be complete without this.  It’s hilarious, cracky, and hot. Mentions of violence?)

Laughter In the Dark – Sam thinks everything will be better once Dean gives in.  ~ (This is a one-shot based off the Suite Verse, which I’ll get to later.  Dub-con to non-con.  OC child death.  Dark)

A Threefold Path to Redemption – Sam finds a way to keep Dean from going to hell: he’ll go in his place for three days.  ~ (Okay, this fic is brilliant.  But it also comes with very strong warnings.  Gore, dub-con to non-con for Sam, lots of painplay, Sam having sex with a lot of people that aren’t Dean.  Also, this is the one bottom!Sam rec on this list.  Still, it’s brilliant)

The Light of Munnin – Beyond the Apocalypse, beyond the Rapture… ~ (Sam destroys the world.  Both Sam and Dean lose their memories.  Dark, dub-con to non-con, mute!Dean, mentions of suicide and torture, bittersweet ending)

Indigo Blooms in the Kingdom of Hesperus – Just a routine morning in hell, but Dean begins to think Sam wants more than he’s been taking ~ (Dark, evil!Sam, dub-con to non-con, mentions of extreme violence.  Still, the hottest evil!Sam fic I have ever read)

Suite Verse – The ultimate evil!boyking!Sam verse.  What happens to Dean in this is not okay.  Dean is a pretty unreliable narrator as it gets further on; when they do have sex, he believes it is consensual, but it is non-con in it’s worst form.  Sam manipulates him endlessly… It’s pretty twisted.  However, it is the ultimate staple in this trope, so I would be amiss if I didn’t include it on this list.

Fortress – While Dean is in hell, Ruby binds Sam to her with a spell of sex and blood.  Dean comes out a demon, kills her and takes the spell over, much to Sam’s horror ~ (Dub-con, blood-play, happy ending? Also, there’s a sequel.  And I think it’s bottom!Sam)
