semirahrose:

I love how in the preview for next episode they’re all like, “We let Lucifer out of the Cage,” and yeah okay but consider this: Sam willingly submitted himself to Lucifer’s violence and braced himself for death because he was so determined to say “no” to the bitter end, so uh. There’s that.

geekinthejeep:

Sam getting to go! off! on Dean about this whole self-sacrificing over-protective “you gotta stay on the bench” bullshit made this whole episode worth it

Sam is a grown ass man more than capable of making his own decisions and standing up for himself and I am so glad at least one of the writers on this show is capable of remembering that

bluephoenix73:

Is Gabriel so focused on his own revenge that he can’t remember Sam’s torture? Seven years is barely a heartbeat compared to the time Sam–a human–spent in the cage, tortured by Lucifer himself. Wonder how that stacks up to an archangel tortured by the weakest minion of hell, even juiced up on archangel grace.

And yet, Sam is understanding. He knows why Gabriel wants them all dead.

Sam remembers. He knows.

And that is why he is the sweetest cinnamon roll ever kthanxbye
