it’s just so IMPRESSIVE how sam grew up indoctrinated into a certain sense of morality – romanticizing martyrdom (revenge comes before everything and everyone), black and white logic (all supernatural creatures are evil), repressing vulnerability (no chick flick moments) etc. – and yet he managed to develop his own moral compass and act on it. and he did that as a child, while struggling with loneliness, self-loathing, bullying, and actual monsters. what a champ ❤️
