Hi hope this is okay to add, but i actually got to ask Jared in his meet and greet at pittcon about Jack. And he said that the writers had planned on Jack being the villain for the season! and were going to have Sam kill him, that is until they saw how great Alex was and the relationship Jack and Sam had.
i SPIT AT THAT PLOT literally i would have been so fucking mad if they did that, but grateful that alex’s talent and charm and his chemistry w/ jarpad gave me such a beautiful relationship GOSH THAT YOU FOR ASKING JARED ABOUT THAT AHHH
RIGHT! Jack was one of my favorite new characters to come on the show in long time, I’m very glad they kept him around! Jared went on to say how the writers are paying attention to where the story grows and the fan reactions when making decisions for what direction to take the seasons in
