The fact that “I haven’t heard from them for a few days” is cause for concern when it comes to the Winchesters is… strangely adorable? The idea that the boys are in contact with Jody often enough that a gap of just a few days is significant is really sweet. These giant, world-ending men have people who care about them.
Also, Sam trying to call the people he cares about and let them know how he is and what’s up is such a stark contrast between how John dealt with the family business.
