Random observation : The AU scenes were so well done, for a low budget show, SPN pulled out all the stops tonight!! Awesome cinematography, and directing.

I feel like the one moment in this episode where Sam was more than a plot-device-afterthought and was just really genuinely Sam Himself was when he was standing in a room looking beaten-down and uncomfortable with one side of his face covered in livid bruising and telling the person who put it there, “We want to help you.” And honestly that’s kind of heartbreaking.
