another thing i loved about this episode: it brought it back to the two brothers and just showed how much dean Shines when he and sam are the sole focus of each others attention. when dean recognized that sam puts his happiness above the needs of the hunters at the bunker, you could see he just Visibly looked happier and became more open and honest. thats the same dean from s1 who looked over at his passenger seat and saw he had his little brother back!!!! thats that bitch!!!!! it was such a beautiful way of showing that theyre still codependent in a positive light. it Feels like growth without forcing them apart

After watching SPN 14.04, Mint Condition, I’m completely spoiled. How much did I miss old school Supernatural? The brothers working a case, Dean geeking out, Sam being smart and resourceful. Natural banter and no drama or tension. No angels or demons or extra people.

Next week we’re back to the status quo, so I’ll savor this back-in-time moment of nostalgia and bliss.
