I love to do a long list of Summergen recs so here they are for this year! Reveals are due any day now so hurry to read them while they are still Mysterious and Anonymous. And do check out the full collection at the Summergen website, there were lots of other really good entries (plus my entry, haha) but my list was getting unmanageably long so I had to be very exacting in my choice! Also, please pay attention to the warnings on each fic when you click through, some of them are fairly dark…
ART Summer School Sam didn’t realize his summer breaks weren’t like other kids’ summers – not at first. But the older he gets, the more he realizes how different his family is from other kids he meets. – Just a lovely atmospheric vision of a moment in Sam and Dean’s adolescence.
[untitled] Jack grew up as the younger brother of Sam and Dean–just a regular kid with profound powers trying to hide from his hunter family that he’s the son of Lucifer. – A really clever interpretation of the prompt that raises more questions than it answers!
FIC Black Coffee in Bed, 2900 words, PG-13 Breakdown in Nebraska, and the mornings after. – Beautifully, sparely written insight (via a service-station psychic) into Sam’s mindset during that bleak, dark moment mid-season 13.
Chick Lit References, 3200 words, R “This is just typical,” Dean says angrily. “Cas puts us in a yurt, and you won’t let me leave because you think we need this to ‘fix us,’ but here’s the thing, Sam, next time you’re mad at me, maybe you should try this thing called talking instead of going straight to chick lit references that will soar over my head.”– The premise for this feels like it should be cracky, almost – Sam and Dean take some ‘me-time’ to recover from Michael – but it’s much more subtle and emotionally complex than that.
death unhinged its jaw, 4500 words, PG-13 death unhinged its jaw and swallowed them whole, only to spit them back out again after. – I don’t want to give away the central conceit of this one and it’s not the first I’ve read to toy with the idea, but it executes it perfectly; dark and understated and (if you think too hard about it) really awfully, hopelessly grim.
Fledgling, 7700 words, PG-13 When four-year-old Emma arrives the Bunker, Sam wonders exactly what it is that Cas brought him — what he made without his soul. – I feel like a lot of fics told with this kidfic premise or in this kind of ethereal tone wouldn’t work for me but this one really swings it, somehow. I think partly there’s an undercurrent of humour that punctures what in the wrong hands would be – for me – too grandiose. Instead, it’s an unexpectedly sweet, magical little story.
Misplaced,1900 words, PG-13 “Dean facilitated a divine family reunion and God’s sister gifted him John Winchester. The world is upside-down—but they’ve rescued Sam, and doesn’t the world somehow (always) hinge on him?” For the prompt: Season 12 Au where John was brought back to life instead of Mary. – This one Pulls No Punches. It’s brutal and is all the better for it!
Mongrels, 4000 words, PG-13 ‘One time in the first grade, Sam’s art teacher had assigned self-portraits–a picture meant to show the world who you really were. In his self-portrait, Sam had given himself approximately 37 heads, and Dean had been sent to the principal’s office for shouting “oh FUCK” when he saw it.’ Just New Mexico things. S9 post-Gadreel H/C casefic. – Compelling, hallucinogenic, clever casefic told through Dean’s eyes during that twisty period of emotional estrangement
Open Sky, 3200 words, PG-13 Magda lives, and ends up spending some time at the bunker. – Lovely fic with Sam and Magda in a sort of Sam-Jack style relationship. Sam does some helping, confronts some truths, MAGDA LIVES, we all know how bitter I am about this ahahahaha
Riptide, 10,000 words, PG-13 Sam just wants to be a normal college student and normal college students go on spring break. Of course, that’s when bodies begin washing up on the beach. – I love me a Stanford casefic and this one is particularly well done. It has a great monster and it gives Sam a really believable set of friends and relationships to work with and around as he tries to solve the problem without letting anyone in on his secret. Really enjoyable.
Saints Preserve Us, 9,600 words, PG-13 – Dean has convinced Sam that Mark of Cain or not, he’s still perfectly capable of a straightforward salt and burn. Hint: he may have exaggerated slightly. Meanwhile, the Fates are locked in a bureaucratic battle with Heaven over the supply of basic utilities and are just generally dysfunctional. These things are not unrelated. – Quirky, well-written casefic with a touch of the Neil Gaimans. (That’s a good thing!)
Sicko, 2900 words, PG-13 Now fully human, Jack navigates the realities of both past and present. – I’m a sucker for Jack and Sam fics and this is another really fantastic one with Jack figuring out some pretty heavy stuff now that he is human. Sam in this story is absolutely lovely and Jack is heartbreaking in just the same way as he is sometimes in the show. Really worth reading.
Sleeping with the Fishes, 4400 words, PG-13 Dean won’t rest until Sam sleeps. – This one (with bonus lovely artwork) doesn’t try to do anything too fancy but it’s a well-written snapshot of every hurt!Sam aficionado’s favourite slice of canon (yes I do mean haggard sleepless Hallucifer-Sam) with a Sam and Dean whose voices are absolutely spot-on.
Sweet Dreams Are Made of This, 5600 words, PG-13 Sam’s looking at a large white envelope, with the word Stanford printed on the top. – I don’t want to spoil too much of this one – Sam has to tell the family about his Stanford offer. Let’s leave it there.
These are the days of miracle and wonder (this is the long distance call), 10,000 words, PG-13 Sam Winchester’s life has been touched by many things – love, loss, fear, hope, pain, and always, in the background, witchcraft. – Probably my favourite fic of the whole of Summergen this year. Sam as a witch. Lovely shifting POV and it builds to such a fantastic climax. Plus some A+ cameos.
Wintering, 1000 words, G Dean is hurt on his first hunt and lets Sam take care of him. – Poignant little outsider POV fic that offers a perfect glimpse of a particular moment.
Wreckage, 4800 words, PG-13 It’s a slow procession out the front door of the Bunker that first week until it’s just the two of them left. Jack wants to comfort Sam after Michael takes off with Dean but doesn’t know how, and Sam is obsessed with how to get his brother back, no matter what the cost. – I already recced this because it’s the fic I prompted, but it’s beautifully told and very touching. Well worth a read.
YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS! With a new season beginning, I will now be regularly checking the Sam Winchester/Dean Winchester tag on AO3 for fic tagged with Season/Series 14 or episode codas.
If you didn’t know, at the end of every current season, I compile a great wincest fic rec specifically focusing on that live season. Its my favorite genre, and I have to show it to the world.
WINCEST FIC WRITERS, I encourage you to write these codas, and try to send them to me if you can!
You can write a fic for ANY episode, and there isn’t a deadline until MONTHS after the FINALE. So you have plenty of time!
We Stumble, But We Never Fall
Sam/Dean, ~12,500 words, NC-17
by whispered_story
Summary: Sam is away at Stanford when John dies. Dean shows up at his apartment in Palo Alto, messed up and hurting, and in the wake of what happened, their relationship slowly grows into something more.
Hi!! Thank you for asking; this is so nice! I’m not sure what exactly you’re looking for, re: my style, but how about I just rec the Wincest/J2 authors I reread over & over again? I would love to give these amazing authors some more traffic to their stunning work. This is a mix of Wincest, J2, bottom!Sam/Jared and bottom!Dean. They are all late-season Wincest, and they all have happy endings. Xo
whispered_story My favorite story: “Things We Swore We’d Never Do” why it’s my fave: Sam and Dean are cursed into acting like they’re in a committed, sexual relationship, but have no memory of said intimacy after the fact. Until one day, they both remember what they’ve been doing, and the PINING and UST while they dance around each other, trying not to want each other anymore, gosh– it’s just so hurty and good. I don’t want to give away anymore, but it’s a MUST. READ. This author is one of my faves, and I had a hard time picking just one. bottom!Dean.
karmascars My favorite story: “They Carried Gravity” why it’s my fave: set in season 10 as the Mark is starting to take Dean over, Dean tries to cheer Sam up in any way possible, but they end up taking comfort from each other in a whole new way. The characterization is beautiful, and the sex is scorching. This is another author I could read anything written by them, and I had a hard time narrowing down my fave. Bottom!Sam.
brokenlittleboy My favorite story: “Promise Me” why it’s my fave: Dean realizes he wants to marry Sam. Amazing characterization, and SUPER sweet Dean who adores his little brother, and plans an amazing ‘proposal’ for him. Fluffy, sexy amazingness. I could read anything by this author. bottom!Sam.
AlulaSpeaks My favorite story: “Lips That Unlock Doors.” why it’s my fave: One of the hottest things I’ve read, hands down. Dean is obsessed with Sam’s mouth, and that leads to their first time. This is mostly just Wincest smut, but it’s delicious, and in-character. This author’s work is all fantastic, though, and I recommend it all. no top/bottom in this.
non_tiembo_mala My favorite story:“When You Find Me [You’ll Search No More]” why it’s my fave: This is a J2. Jared is a lonely prince who is granted a wish that lasts until dawn, and that wish ends up being Jensen, who is a woodsman. This is what I like to call “hot as FUCK porn with all the feels.” It has undertones of Dom/sub, but it’s tender, too. I can’t rec it enough. I know I keep saying this, but I recommend EVERYTHING written by her. She’s incredible. She makes us feel it. bottom!Jared.
Fenix21 My favorite story: “Kill It With Kindness” why it’s my fave: MoC!Dean is incredibly vulnerable with Sam in this, questioning why Sam sticks around, begging Sam not to let him hurt him, but Sam isn’t afraid of him, and he shows Dean that. Super emotional, very in-character, and hot like fire. Another author who I’ve read tons of their work. bottom!Sam.
deadlybride My favorite story: “with autumn closing in” why it’s my fave: a truly hot-as-fire bottom!dean story. Sam and Dean had a kinky/sexual relationship back in season 4 (Dean wore panties for Sam, for instance), but it stopped, and Sam is pining for Dean. He earns Dean’s trust back, and it’s just hot as FIRE, with great characterizations. Even if you’re not big on bottom!dean, the emotional side of this alone is worth reading.
NaughtyPastryChef my favorite story: “It’s Not What It Looks Like” why it’s my fave: this story is packed with UST, which is delicious, and when they finally give in– dear. me. it’s bottom!sam, but Sam is definitely in control, so I love how it plays on Dean’s slight submissive role we see in the show, and Sam’s control freak-ness. a must-read!
I feel as though it’s high time I gathered all of the wonderful established Wincest fics that I’ve read in my time shipping these two dumbs into one place. I certainly hope you get as much enjoyment out of reading these as I have.
Perhaps the magnum opus of established Wincest in that they’re married. That’s right – rings. Husbands. It doesn’t get any more stuck together than this and it’s absolutely wonderful. Both boys top in this absolutely magnificent series of fics.
It’s dangerous, being happy, waiting for it all to slip away. Set in season 7 after Sam’s wall comes down and all they have is each other – Bobby’s gone, Sam’s convinced he’s going crazy, and Dean’s self destructive. But somehow they manage to keep each other together. Both boys top in this fic.
The Winchester brothers finally get around to re-kindling their relationship in their new, slightly more boring life, (fic begins after all the Gates of Heaven, Hell and Purgatory have been closed.) All thanks to a case involving a beautiful three story house in Vermont, that’s there and isn’t and sometimes disappears couples whose families don’t accept their love. (I highly recommend all of this author’s work, not just this fic.)
They’re still reeling from Dean’s stint in Purgatory, the Trials are tearing them apart, the world hangs in the balance (again)—and Dean wants to get a pool table and have a sex marathon. Of course he does. (I’ve seen this recced as exclusively bottom!Sam but both boys top in this fic.)
The events of the last hour have all smeared themselves together in Sam’s mind until he isn’t sure what actually happened anymore. All he knows is that there’s only ever been one place in the world other than the Impala that Sam could even loosely call ‘home’, and now it’s gone. Sam bottoms.
This is what happens if Dean could let go of his anger when he finds out that Sam drinks demon blood and instead focuses on helping his brother. This is what happens if Bobby seriously thought about Sam’s welfare instead of deferring to Dean. They work out their issues, they recover, they avert disaster, and everyone ends up in a happier place.
Five years after the apocalypse didn’t happen and Sam and Dean have settled down, or as much as the Winchesters can ever settle down. Sam is a college professor and Dean a well-respected small business owner and they’re learning how to balance work, hunting and dog-ownership while coping with the metaphorical and literal scars of war. Life’s not perfect, not for a (sort of) out and proud couple in small town USA with a lot to hide, but they’re dealing, that is, until Dean employs one sexually-confused teenager who develops an unhealthy obsession with both of them. Switching between five years earlier and now, we learn how the boys came together, how they made it through the big fight and whether they’ll ever manage to find that flighty temptress, happily ever after.
A lot can change in an instant. Six months ago, Sam was injured in the course of a hunt that went terribly wrong. Now, there’s something in the woods of Michigan’s upper peninsula, stalking, beating, and killing people in the tiny town of Big Bay. A retired hunter calls Sam and Dean in to investigate, but they’re also still dealing with the aftermath of that hunt-gone-wrong, and the effect it’s had on their relationship. (again, I recommend all of this author’s work)
Treasure by sonofabiscuit77 (48.5k words, Explicit)
It’s 2018 and the human race is almost extinct, wiped out by a mutant threat not even the angels saw coming. Sam and Dean live on a military compound, one of the only human communities left still fighting for survival. Dean is one of the military leaders, dedicated to wasting as many of the mutants he can, while Sam, permanently injured and confined to the base, is desperately searching for the answer that will save what’s left of humanity, and finally bring both boys the peace they crave. Sam tops.
When the world changes Dean and Sam Winchester struggle to keep up, but through all the twists and turns they’ve had one constant: each other.
Playing House by queerly_it_is (3.8k words, Weecest, Explicit)
When John is away on hunts and it’s just Sam and Dean, he finds it feels almost like a husband and wife. Sam knows its messed up to think like that but he can’t help it. More so when Dean’s willing to play along with it, calling Sam pet names and treating him as if he really was Dean’s wife.
A whole series of fics featuring Dean as the best possible dom for Sam he can be and so much hot sex it’ll peel the paint off of your walls. Sam bottoms throughout.
Dean is hurt and Sam finds an abandoned farm in Oregon where they can stay until Dean has recovered. They never leave. Sam tops.
Bluebird Blue by Exaggerated_Specificity (4k words, Explicit)
Dean gets a little too excited when talking to a female witness on a case and things go a bit too far. Sam sees Dean’s transgression and isn’t happy about it. He reminds Dean who he belongs to. Good thing Dean loves it when Sam talks dirty and gets super possessive. Sam tops.
Two years after defeating Yellow Eyes at the Gate, after their dad’s death, the boys are happily grounded at a motel of their own. But one wrong romantic gesture from Sam and Dean is well and truly spooked. Shocker. Told in first person by Dean.
Underneath by ObsidianRomance (4.6k words, Explicit)
Dean gets it into his crazy head that he is going to treat Sam to a striptease. Thankfully he’s better at taking his brother’s dick than he is at stripping. Sam tops.
Honeyboy by dollylux (Weecest, 6.2k words, Explicit)
While John’s running an errand in the backwoods in Louisiana, Sam finds a way to keep Dean occupied. (Sex kitten!Sammy and trying-so-hard-to-be-good-in-public-and-failing!Dean.) Dean tops.
“I want to film you jerking off in the Impala,” he says as they’re both catching their breath, Dean on top of him, his dick still lodged deep inside Sam. Sam tops.
After Nightshifter, Sam and Dean hit the road. What follows is three months of fear and frustration with the FBI hot on their heels, trying to avoid the long arm of the law while still continuing to work. It’s not easy; being on the run doesn’t leave much time for breathing, never mind sleep, sex or any much-needed downtime.
Sam’s sick & weak from the trials & Dean is being more than a little cautious and protective with him. So much so that while on the road to meet Crowley, Sam decides to ask Dean to do something for him that isn’t so easy to do in the backseat of the Impala.
Dean wakes up early and decides to rouse his brother from his sleep in the best way possible.
I fully encourage you to delve into the wonderful world of brothers who already kiss and know how much they need each other. They are not boring stories. Don’t let others mislead you on that, as it’s simply not true. I’ll add more fics as I come across them but these represent the best of the best that I’ve read.
I’d like to remind everyone that there are consent issues in most amnesia stories. Here are some more:
Ashes of Another Life (46,000 words, nc-17). After Sam left for Stanford, Dean never heard from him again. And when he finally does run into him several years later, Sam doesn’t recognize him–in fact, Sam seems to believe he’s someone else. Awesome fic.
The Land of the Blind (13,000 words, pg-13). Apocalypse fic, with Sam not really having his memories and Dean taking care of him. Sad, and sharp. Fantastic.
Like Fruit Rusting on the Vines (7,000 words, R). Dean gets Sam out of the pit, but it costs them their memories. Both boys can’t remember–a nice, shorter one.
Forget Me Not (2,700 words, nc-17). Stanford-era. Dean loses his memory, and Sam takes some time off school to cure him. Through sex.
Death Like Dying (3,100 words, R). When Dean gets back from hell, he’s forgotten everything except for Sam. Bittersweet.
A Priori (17,700 words, nc-17). Sam has forgotten everything, and ends up at a monastery A guy named Dean visits, and Sam really likes him. This fic is written very nicely.
Blue Skies From Rain (178,000 words, nc-17). Insanely long, and I’m sure most people have read it already, but it is a great fic–worth the time investment. Sam and Dean end up in a mental institution after the djinn episode, and both of their minds are addled (to very different extents).
Moths on the Mirror (19,000 words, nc-17). Another great fic where Dean ends up in a mental hospital, and can’t remember much. Fleshflutter is awesome, and this fic is awesome–but it does feature non-con between Dean and male orderly at the hospital.
Tabula Rasa (4,100 words, nc-17) and We Came From the Breeze (4,500 words, nc-17). Both of these are pwps, but nice ones. Basic amnesia formula, both the boys lose their memories. Lovely reads.
Green Eyes & Natural Lies (44,000 words, nc-17). Sam wakes up from a coma, and Dean takes care of him. Sam starts getting the wrong idea about what they were to each other… And Dean can’t (or won’t) convince him otherwise. A wonderful fic.
Our hearts still hurt over Sam Winchester and “Beat The Devil”. Here’s a few fics that add episode codas and missing scenes (spoilers if you haven’t seen the episode yet):
Gifted by julia-sets The moments immediately following Sam’s miraculous appearance are chaotic.
This is a story of adolescence. This is a love letter for the slow burn, for Led Zeppelin, for the 90s. This is the first of two sets of stories about how Sam and Dean didn’t fall in love. They never had to. It was always there, this desperation between them, like a real, breathing thing. When they came together, it was inevitable. As sure as continents colliding, as the phases of the moon and the life and death of stars. This isn’t a love story, but it’s a story of love.
This story begins in 2001 in a garage in Palo Alto when 18-year old Stanford student, Sam Sharma plucks up the courage to ask car mechanic, Dean Cooper, out for a cup of coffee. Their attraction is instantaneous and overwhelming, and the relationship that develops seems perfect. Except nothing is really perfect, and this particular love story started a long time before Sam and Dean even met.
In 1941, while the world is at war, Sam Winchester falls in love with his brother. They’re young, they’re in love, and in spite of the hardships of life around them, the world is a pretty good one for them. Until Dec. 7th, 1941, when Japan launches an air attack on Pearl Harbor, sending the US to war against Japan. Dean Winchester feels he needs to join the Army; needs to help fight the good fight and help save lives. He promises he’ll return, but can he keep that promise?
Say You’re MineIt takes his two best friends getting engaged to make Jared realize what’s missing in his own life, but once he figures it out, he’s a man on a mission: find true love or die trying. He’s not asking for much – just the perfect soul mate to spend blissful eternity with – so when a chance meeting drops Jensen into his life (and his lap), it seems like fate. But either Jensen missed that memo or fate seems to have other ideas because nothing works out the way Jared planned.
Echo Summertime in California and Jared’s life has just taken a turn for the better. He’s got a new job, a new apartment, and a whole new outlook on life. The bad news? He thinks his apartment might be haunted. The good news? He just met this really hot guy. Jensen’s a man with a troubled past, but Jared’s already fallen hard. As he starts to uncover the truth behind what’s happening in his home, however, Jared discovers that his and Jensen’s lives are more intertwined that he ever imagined, and the path to Jensen’s heart might just be helping the man find his way home.
Faint Stars and Bright Satellite Skies It’s a story made for Hollywood – a chance encounter between a regular, down to earth guy with his whole life planned out for him without a second thought and a well-known, popular movie star turns into something far bigger than either man could ever anticipate. Neither Jared Padalecki nor Jensen Ackles expect or want the complications that arise in their lives from their fast friendship – especially when it developed into something neither anticipated. While Jared accepts and tries to deal with his growing feelings for his famous friend, Jensen fights it every step of the way until his strictly controlled life, hidden behind a public persona, spins out of control.
Reanimated In which Jared manages real estate in Heaven and Jensen works as Hell’s attorney in Death Trials. Extreme ambiguity and a distinct lack of beer push Jared to accept a different kind of job in a hotter, more southern locale. The boys meet. Hi-jinks and grocery-stealing in Hell ensue. Featuring saints on book tours, love on trial, after-life bureaucracy, and sin. Surprisingly not as cracktastic as it sounds.
Restraint The calling card said Tristan Jarrett, Viscount Penrith. Beneath that, in a lazy scrawl, was the addendum Mr Acklebury, be so good as to wait on me tomorrow, number 10, Half Moon Street. Yours, &c., Penrith. Mr Acklebury was not sure how he felt about being thus summarily commanded to paint his lordship’s portrait.
And Heartbreak Ensues Jensen is a newly ‘out of the closet’ gay man ready for romance. Jared is everything he never knew he wanted – sexy, carefree and willing to try anything once. Trouble is, Jared doesn’t do relationships.
Screw You, We’re From TexasEveryone knows the story – Jensen had plans to enroll at Texas Tech and become a Physical Therapist, Jared was heading for the University of Texas to become an Engineer. Instead, they both got against-all-odds breaks in Hollywood and ended up on a totally different path. This is the story of what could have happened if fate twisted differently, if they never got those big Hollywood breaks, and instead ended up living the lives they grew up expecting to lead.
My Shooting StarJared is a special man who has a passion for dogs, helping people, and a heart as big as a lion. Jensen adopts a dog from the shelter where Jared works, and the two are inexplicably entwined.
Taking Turns (Holding This World)When rich boy Jensen Ackles decided to get out from under his father’s thumb and run away from home he didn’t expect to be robbed in broad daylight, mistaken for a hooker, beaten up by a tattooed maniac and have his life saved by a really cute street kid. All in one day. Jared Padalecki on the other hand didn’t expect to be thrown in jail for his trouble. As love stories go, this one didn’t exactly have the best beginning.
The Word of UsWhen Jared Padalecki headed off to college he thought he was going to get an education and eventually mate with a nice girl his Mama would be proud to call daughter. He never expected to lock eyes with Jensen Ackles and have his whole world turned upside down. After spending a week with his family, mourning the passing of his grandparents, the last thing Jensen expected was to come home to his roommate in the throes of a mating fever. Taking the high road, he moved out. Unable to find an apartment at such short notice he found himself moving back into the dorms and rooming with a freshman named Jared.
You Sold Me IllusionsJared’s a pricey escort and college student whose life gets a little more complicated when he finds out that Jensen, one of his customers, is also going to be teaching one of his classes this fall.
The Courtship of Jensen’s Co-StarSomewhere in the time between a handshake and a hug, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki went from being reel-life brothers to real-life best friends, and complete strangers to cosmic soul mates, no rhyme or reason to it that either of them could ever see
In Harm’s WayJared Padalecki is living a quiet life in San Antonio until one day he is snatched off the street by two men. Enter Tom Delaney, CIA spy. Only that’s not his real name. His real name is Jensen Ackles, and he needs Jared’s help. Jensen and his team have been tracking a man named Alain Laurent, a terrorist disguised as a legitimate businessman. Only, they haven’t been able to get close enough to him to gather any useful intelligence. They know that Laurent and his partner, Rafiq Abdul-Aziz, are planning something big – and possibly explosive. They just don’t know what and they don’t know when. But they know that time is running out. That’s where Jared comes in. With a little manipulation, Jensen convinces Jared to help. To use himself as bait to lure Laurent into revealing his secrets. But nothing is ever that simple. As Jensen and Jared become more than just professional colleagues, the stakes become even higher. And when their mission takes an unexpected turn, Jensen must decide between love and duty with devastating consequences.
In The Blink Of An EyeOne minute everything is going good in Jensen’s life and the next everything is turned upside down. How will he cope? Can he get his life back in order or will he have to move forward into a life he never asked for?
The Duke and IJensen Ackles is a wealthy Duke who is in desperate need to marry within a month, or he will lose his inheritance. Thinking he has found the perfect man in young and beautiful Jared Padalecki, Jensen quickly forges a deal with Gerald Padalecki for his son’s hand in marriage at the urging of his friend Misha. After the wedding, though, it becomes clear that all, especially Jared, is not as it seems, and it’s then that the real drama begins.
Where I belong One a long weekend trip things are revealed that will change the relationship between Jensen and Jared forever.
plane crash!verseThe guys are back off Christmas hiatus and on their way to a location shoot when things go horribly wrong.
There’s someone from Jensen’s past that no one knew about. Someone who threatens the happiness he’s finally found You know that person that Chris never had the name for? Well he may soon get it.
As This Sunset Turns to Morning Jensen spends his life hiding who he is from the family that would never accept him if they knew. When he’s uprooted in the middle of his senior year and suddenly becomes the new kid, his carefully placed mask begins to slip. Especially when he meets Jared – a loud, outspoken spectacle of a boy that fights for everything Jensen was taught to stand against. Jared has no problem going after what he wants, and now it’s just a matter of Jensen letting himself do the same.
QB!verseArmed with strength, size and instinctive talent, Jared Padalecki is the first round draft pick for the faltering Dallas Cowboys. Quickly granted a multi-million dollar contract and heralded as the hopeful future franchise quarterback, Jared is thrilled to be a part of the team he grew up idolizing and is all too eager to take the next step in what should be a long and promising career. However, Jared soon realizes he has a much tougher road ahead than anticipated when he meets the prickly Jensen Ackles, the team’s veteran QB and Jared’s number one competitor for the starting roster spot.
In a league ruled by money, celebrity and ego, where the roster changes week to week and injuries aren’t so much a risk as a fact of life, Jared must prove himself capable of leading one of the NFL’s most glamorous and controversial teams back to glory. And in the process, must deal with his teammates’ potentially career-ending secrets and his own burgeoning, confusing relationship with Ackles.
These Twists & Turns of Fate Jensen Ackles is a commercial fraud investigator, he has been hired by
JDM who is quite concerned about the future of his company Morgan Inc.
Jensen had thought this would be another simple job of flushing out the
mole but then walked in Jeff’s secretary, Jared Padalecki. Jared and
Jensen had spent couple of months in a passionate relationship after
which Jared had disappeared without a trace and with him Jensen’s ten
million dollars nearly bankrupting Jensen’s company in the process. Now
Jensen was suspicious as Jeff’s company fits Jared’s MO and Jared
himself was looking pretty shifty. Was Jared up to his old tricks again?
And with everyone around him just looking out for themselves can Jensen
really afford to trust anyone?
Summary: After Sam’s wall breaks, Dean decides they need some time out of the life. They rent a rundown house in a small town, and during the renovations, everything changes between them. Sam/Dean curtain!fic, veers off canon mid S6.
Summary: “The building blocks for Sam and Dean’s insane, twisted, and erotic codependency are two people very much in love and the lengths they would go to for each other. Their atoms are made up by the road, by shiny bright diners and smoky bars, by holding their breath when they pass by cemeteries in an attempt not to breathe in an evil spirit, unaware that they already have demons hiding in the recesses of their souls, planted there before they were even born.“ A love story told in road maps, bars, and graveyard dirt.
Summary: Sam and Dean are called in to investigate the mysterious death of a model at a photography studio in Michigan. The only way for them to get in? Pose as models themselves – which is much easier said than done.
Summary: Sam is fourteen when his psychic ability manifests, in the form of powerful, uncontrollable visions that leave him incapacitated by pain. Fear of his father’s reaction to having a son with supernatural powers leaves him only one person to turn to: his brother Dean. As his feelings for Dean grow stronger and the visions take more out of him, both brothers will have to make decisions on what is important, and where you go when you have nowhere left to turn.
Summary: Mile·stone /mīl stōn/ (noun): an action or event marking a significant change or stage in development. Or more specifically, six milestones that would change the relationship between Sam and Dean for the rest of their lives.
Summary: It’s sunny the day he buries his brother. Winter sun, where the air’s cold and everything is too bright, hard on his eyes and his lungs. These are the days made for hats and scarves and mittens in dozens of colors. The light washes the world out on its own, and the funeral is worse than in rain.
Summary: After two vegetarian restaurants, an almost serious usage of the term “buttercup,” and an incident with Dean’s mouth pressed against his ear, Sam came to the disorienting conclusion that they were quite possibly dating. Or, more accurately, that Dean was honest-to-god courting him like a modern-day knight in distressed leather armour.
Summary: AU after 5×22: Sam mysteriously returns from the cage and Dean thinks their problems are solved. Unfortunately, Sam is so shaken from his time in Hell that he can’t—won’t?—even talk to Dean, and when natural disasters begin to occur as frequently as they did when the Devil was walking the Earth, Dean realizes his brother may have acquired some of the angel’s powers without picking up the ability to control them. In order to prevent Sam from hurting anyone, Dean finds a house as far from anything as he can manage and settles there to wait until the day Sam gets better—or until they both get killed by Sam’s grace.
Summary: AU after 5×22: Sam’s last request before he jumped into the Pit was for Dean to keep living without him. Dean finds his promise impossible to keep, but just before he can call it quits, he gets a visit from a 16-year-old Sam, who is understandably curious as to what circumstances have led to his brother being alone and as miserable as he clearly is. Together they try to understand why Sam is there and how to send him back to his own time, but they discover a little more than that along the way.
Summary: AU after Plucky Pennywhistle’s Magical Menagerie. During the final battle with the Leviathans, God finally makes an appearance and deigns to intervene. After granting Sam and Dean a few final requests, he ‘packs his bags’ and takes everything supernatural in existence with him. Left with nothing to hunt, Sam talks a reluctant Dean into settling down in a small town outside of Sioux Falls. Sam seems to want them live a normal kind of life, but between the ridiculous estate sale Sam bought to furnish the house, the arrival of a very human Castiel who’s overwhelmed by human emotions, and their quirky, invasive neighbors, it’s anything but. Dean’s having a difficult time adjusting, convinced everything couldn’t be more abnormal until Sam reveals exactly what kind of life he wants to have with Dean. Dean can’t deny the part of him that wants it–but can he accept it?
Summary: Dean’s life is turned upside down the night his mother dies. But that’s also the night a mysterious grown-up version of Dean’s brother first appears in his life. While Dean grows up, “Old Sam” is often there, especially when Dean’s father isn’t. As Dean learns what the future holds, he begins to question everything his father has taught him about who he is and what he is supposed to become. Can Dean find a way to save his little brother from his own future?
Summary: Five years after the apocalypse didn’t happen and Sam and Dean have settled down, or as much as the Winchesters can ever settle down.
Summary: Caught in a time loop on the day the world ends, Dean is forced to consider what he really wants out of life. (And no, it’s not just to run around naked – although he’s not making any promises.)
Summary: Sam goes undercover at a prep school to try and figure out the source of a number of mysterious occurrences. When events escalate, Dean enrolls as well. A slip of the tongue and now everyone thinks they are boyfriends. Deceit and magic combine in a combination that changes their relationship in ways they could never have imagined.
Summary: This is a story of adolescence.
Summary: Lightning fast Dean’s grin slants into sly and Sam’s stomach lurches hard enough that his lungs get jealous and jump in on the action. Without so much as a glance in Sam’s direction for approval, Dean lifts one shoulder and says, “I’ll make out with Sam.”
Summary: Jensen wishes he could live a day in the life of Dean Winchester. Somehow Dean and Jensen swap lives. Jensen Ackles/Sam Winchester and Jared Padalecki/Dean Winchester. J2 and Wincest at the end.
Summary: Sam isn’t blind, he can see just as well as everyone else does that Dean loves food, fast women, and most importantly, his car. However, he’s not so quick on the uptake about other things, as it turns out.
Summary: Sam takes a vow of silence in order to pull Dean out of Hell, but by the time Dean comes back, Sam’s lost more of himself than just his voice.
Summary: You can never tell when a conversation with a really smokin’ woman is going to come back and bite you in the ass. Dean gets cursed into dating Sam.
Summary: Turns out the only thing more uncomfortable than sitting through class with a half-woody and a pair of panties wedged up your ass is doing it while your panties are soaking wet from your brother’s mouth. (Sam is 14).
Summary: When the world changes Dean and Sam Winchester struggle to keep up, but through all the twists and turns they’ve had one constant: each other.
Summary: This story begins in 2001 in a garage in Palo Alto when 18-year old Stanford student, Sam Sharma plucks up the courage to ask car mechanic, Dean Cooper, out for a cup of coffee. Their attraction is instantaneous and overwhelming, and the relationship that develops seems perfect. Except nothing is really perfect, and this particular love story started a long time before Sam and Dean even met.
Summary: The world begins with the interruption of a sleep. Which is why wakefulness is the only proof of existence. And why the world is fragmented and cannot achieve fullness. And why it constantly seeks to reconstruct fullness. In vain, because the discontinuous will never pass over into the continuous. Mathematics tells us that, last outpost of all that is.
Summary: Sam has a cut that gets infected with a monster’s poisonous blood that kills you within 24 hours. This is basically Sam’s last day alive with Dean.
Summary: AU. Azazel has given his favourite son a task: worm his way into the confidence of a hunter. It sounds simple, but Dean Winchester just might be more than Sam can handle.
Summary: The summer before Sam leaves for Stanford, Dean begins to forget his relationship with Sam. Every morning he remembers less, and Sam is just waiting for the day Dean forgets him completely.

After spending the evening being chased by his brother Sam ends up in a semi public place with Dean all over him. Sam’s stupid crush on his own brother is not helping matters either.
Summary: After an argument over having their first real Christmas in the Bunker, Dean goes down to the storerooms to clear his head. Instead, he finds himself on a journey to a Christmas from his past, and one from his future that leads him to his ultimate and forever destination: back to Sam.
