My favorite story: “Things We Swore We’d Never Do”
why it’s my fave: Sam and Dean are cursed into acting like they’re in a committed, sexual relationship, but have no memory of said intimacy after the fact. Until one day, they both remember what they’ve been doing, and the PINING and UST while they dance around each other, trying not to want each other anymore, gosh– it’s just so hurty and good. I don’t want to give away anymore, but it’s a MUST. READ. This author is one of my faves, and I had a hard time picking just one. bottom!Dean.karmascars
My favorite story: “They Carried Gravity”
why it’s my fave: set in season 10 as the Mark is starting to take Dean over, Dean tries to cheer Sam up in any way possible, but they end up taking comfort from each other in a whole new way. why it’s my fave: One of the hottest things I’ve read, hands down. Dean is obsessed with Sam’s mouth, and that leads to their first time. This is mostly just Wincest smut, but it’s delicious, and in-character. This author’s work is all fantastic, though, and I recommend it all. no top/bottom in this.non_tiembo_mala
My favorite story: “When You Find Me [You’ll Search No More]”
why it’s my fave: This is a J2. Jared is a lonely prince who is granted a wish that lasts until dawn, and that wish ends up being Jensen, who is a woodsman. This is what I like to call “hot as FUCK porn with all the feels.” It has undertones of Dom/sub, but it’s tender, too. I can’t rec it enough. why it’s my fave: MoC!Dean is incredibly vulnerable with Sam in this, questioning why Sam sticks around, begging Sam not to let him hurt him, but Sam isn’t afraid of him, and he shows Dean that. why it’s my fave: a truly hot-as-fire bottom!dean story. Sam and Dean had a kinky/sexual relationship back in season 4 (Dean wore panties for Sam, for instance), but it stopped, and Sam is pining for Dean. He earns Dean’s trust back, and it’s just hot as FIRE, with great characterizations. Even if you’re not big on bottom!dean, the emotional side of this alone is worth reading.NaughtyPastryChef

why it’s my fave: this story is packed with UST, which is delicious, and when they finally give in– dear. me. it’s bottom!sam, but Sam is definitely in control, so I love how it plays on Dean’s slight submissive role we see in the show, and Sam’s control freak-ness. a must-read!

Let Your Sins Be Strong – The world is a mess and Sam just needs to rule it. Dean’s not so on board with that plan. ~ (Possibly my FAVORITE Boy King Sam fic ever. Sam is a little darker than in canon, but overall, much the same. There is some OC character death, and mentions of war, but overall, happy ending fic. Also hot.)
The Incestuous Courtship of the AntiChrist’s Bride – Sam is trying to take over the world and accidentally signs Dean up as his Beloved Consort. Which requires sex. On an alter. ~ (Possibly the staple of the Boy King Sam fics, no rec list would be complete without this. It’s hilarious, cracky, and hot. Mentions of violence?)
Laughter In the Dark – Sam thinks everything will be better once Dean gives in. ~ (This is a one-shot based off the Suite Verse, which I’ll get to later. Dub-con to non-con. OC child death. Dark)
A Threefold Path to Redemption – Sam finds a way to keep Dean from going to hell: he’ll go in his place for three days. ~ (Okay, this fic is brilliant. But it also comes with very strong warnings. Gore, dub-con to non-con for Sam, lots of painplay, Sam having sex with a lot of people that aren’t Dean. Also, this is the one bottom!Sam rec on this list. Still, it’s brilliant)
The Light of Munnin – Beyond the Apocalypse, beyond the Rapture… ~ (Sam destroys the world. Both Sam and Dean lose their memories. Dark, dub-con to non-con, mute!Dean, mentions of suicide and torture, bittersweet ending)
Indigo Blooms in the Kingdom of Hesperus – Just a routine morning in hell, but Dean begins to think Sam wants more than he’s been taking ~ (Dark, evil!Sam, dub-con to non-con, mentions of extreme violence. Still, the hottest evil!Sam fic I have ever read)
Suite Verse – The ultimate evil!boyking!Sam verse. What happens to Dean in this is not okay. Dean is a pretty unreliable narrator as it gets further on; when they do have sex, he believes it is consensual, but it is non-con in it’s worst form. Sam manipulates him endlessly… It’s pretty twisted. However, it is the ultimate staple in this trope, so I would be amiss if I didn’t include it on this list.
