In September 2010 new promo shots were being done for the upcoming Season 6. The shoot was in L.A. and the wardrobe was flown down from Vancouver a few days before, and was stolen somewhere along the way. Items taken included one of Castiel’s trench coats and Dean’s Leather Jacket. Although wardrobe had replacements for Castiel’s trenchcoat, Dean’s Leather Jacket was sadly one of a kind.
one of my fave little details about spn is the dedication to continuity in props? we all know about dean’s gun, which is a little more easily spotted because of the engraving
but sam has a pearl grip pistol as well
they’ve both had them throughout the series and use them as their main guns. because they’re both pearl grips and the guns they use most, i like to believe that they were gifts from john. maybe even given to the boys at the same time, but god you guys, they even have matching guns.
so i did a little research bcuz i was obsessing and it turns out dean’s actually isn’t pearl gripped (which i thought was maybe a continuity error but alas), but the engraving adds that sense of extravagance?? so they’re still special together
but in any case, they almost always have them together??

hello i am back again. with shotguns!
sam and dean have their own shotguns toooooo. sam usually carries the ithica, with the pronounced rounded grip
and dean usually carries the sawed off, which is actually the one that was under his and lisa’s bed in 6×01
though they’re not married to them, they’ll both use either. (dean has another winchester model he carries in later seasons as well) ((also bobby has his own sawed off but i won’t post these here)
