EXCUSE the heck out of me is this episode actually addressing the way Mary’s absence is affecting Sam? Not just half-second implication but explicit acknowledgement? Sam-girl Christmas came early. Or late. (Possibly late.) Either way, I am overjoyed.

he is. Also we clearly didn’t need to see the look of pride on Mary’s
face because she had Sam had just TOO much bonding scenes in S12 as it
was.
