babybrotherdean:

They don’t make it to the car in time. The rain comes on hard and fast, and within seconds, the pair of them are soaked through. Dean’s laughing, because he’s crazy, and Sam’s got his arms over his head as if it’ll do him any good, but- but okay, maybe he’s smiling a little, too. Maybe just because of Dean.

The rush becomes less important now that they’re already wet. Both of them had hung around late after school, and apparently, they’re being punished for it. Sam decides he doesn’t mind too much, though. The clouds have been threatening to unleash a storm upon them all day, and now that it’s finally here- well, it doesn’t seem so bad. Even if his underwear are soaked.

“Hey. Sammy- hey. C’mere.” And Dean seems to be having the time of his life. Rain pounding down overhead, he’s got a big grin on his face, and when Sam looks his way, Dean’s reaching out and grabbing his hand. Sam finds himself tugged closer, stumbling right into his brother’s chest, and then- then their lips meet, messy and careless and tinged with laughter. Sam fists his hands in his brother’s shirt and smiles into the kiss, feeling like everything is good. Really, really good.

“Gonna need a shower,” Dean mumbles against his lips. “Wanna go home?”

Sam hums and doesn’t pull away, because past the soaked clothes, Dean’s warm to the touch. He’s always warm. “You sure you’ll let me in the car like this?”

Dean seems to consider that for a moment, then grins. “Maybe. But only ‘cause you’re cute.”

That gets Sam laughing, and they head to the car hand-in-hand. The rain’s not so bad, he decides. Not bad at all.

#asking your little brother for permission be like (3×01

my fave early seasons wincest headcanon is that sam and dean aren’t monogomous  + and dean still has sex with lots of other people because he’s a sexual guy  + sam pretends to be okay with it and when dean pushes him he’ll occasionally hook up with someone + but really he wants him and dean to be a thing  + he doesn’t want anybody else and he hates himself for it but he doesn’t want dean to be with anybody else either  + he doesn’t say anything for the longest time because he knows dean hates chick flick moments  + and it would destroy him if he told dean he wanted them to be more than what they are  + and dean told him what they had was just sex  + but one day it comes out  + sam tells dean about how he’s the only person he ever wants to be with  + and how seeing him go off to have sex with other people kills him  + and he’s on the verge of tears when dean pulls him into his arms and says it’s okay sammy  + the truth is sam has always been it for dean  + none of those other people mean jack  +and the only reason dean is always pushing sam off onto other people is that he doesn’t want to fuck up his little brother  + and he always thought that if sacrificing the part of him that wants sammy all to himself  + meant sam could have a chance at a normal life with a normal partner  +he’d do it and pretend everything was okay   ( via

Retirement Headcanons

  • Dean’s the one who puts his foot down, says it’s time for them to be done. Sam’s hurt and they’ve saved the world more times than he can count on his hands and they deserve a fucking break. Sam’s 40 at the time, Dean’s 44.
  • They’ve lived longer than most hunters, though that’s not really true; they’ve died a dozen times each and every time, it’s taken a mental toll on them.
  • They keep the bunker; it’s the safest place and they can’t exactly get day jobs to pay rent or a mortgage.
  • It’s when they’re finally done hunting that they move into a room together instead of having two. Dean still has his room, yeah, some of his things are there but he sleeps with Sam, they’ve got pictures on the walls of the room and they’re happy.
  • Dean cooks for them every single night, always making something delicious and on the nights when it’s not already pretty healthy, he’ll whip up a salad too and Sam will thank him with a little kiss before setting the table.
  • Dean can’t stand being off the road sometimes though so they take trips, driving across the country to bury their feet in the sand.
  • It’s only after they’re retired that they talk about getting married. Logically, they know that not only are they fugitives and known ‘murderers,’ they’re also brothers so no piece of paper is going to come and they’re certainly not planning on filing their marriage with the state.
  • They get married in the darkness of their room one night in the middle of winter, whispered vows between careful kisses and Dean gives Sam their mother’s ring off his finger. Sam takes the Dean’s amulet out of the box where it’s been stored since he took it out of the trash and he slips it around Dean’s neck, back where it belongs. It means more than a ring ever could.
  • They go on walks every night on the empty back road that the bunker is settled on, hands linked between them. Dean keeps his gun tucked into his waistband and his knife tucked into his sock because he’s more relaxed knowing that if something happened, he would be able to protect them.
  • Things are mundane, boring even. But Dean does what Bobby had once done, taking calls from hunters needing ‘FBI’ confirmation at a scene or anything like that. The bunker becomes a temporary safe house too and though some hunters look at the brothers funny when they slip into a room together at night, anyone who says anything is asked to leave. Sam and Dean have been through more than those hunters could even imagine and it’s none of their business anyways.
  • Sam lets himself take on hobbies, gardening and growing fresh fruits and vegetables, drawing though he’s not very good at it, but more than anything, he reads. He reads every book in the bunker library before he starts to read the books from the local library and at some point, he signs up for the local community college. It’s under a fake name, a fake address, fake everything, but it allows him to take online classes so he can learn more of what he finds interesting.
  • Dean hates that he’s greying but Sam will whisper sweet things to him about how he never thought he’d get to see Dean grow old, how he thinks it’s beautiful because it means Dean’s alive, aging like he should and not dying far too early.
  • They’re happy, really.
  • When Sam passes peacefully in his sleep at only 49, the physical and mental trauma his body and mind have taken getting to be too much, Dean goes with him. He dies at the barrel of a gun, just like he’d always figured he would. He just never figured it would be his own gun.
  • When Dean opens his eyes next, he’s in Heaven and Sam’s standing over him, offering his hand with a warm smile. There are very few wrinkles, no grey hairs, Sam’s young again and so is Dean and they’re happy and that’s all that matters. When Sam kisses him for the first time in Heaven, Dean remembers something they learned long ago. Soulmates share a Heaven and everything he’s ever felt for his little brother feels much more pure with that knowledge. Soulmates. It fits perfectly.

“They’re happy, really.” Unrealistic, blocked. (I kid, obviously. Can’t block myself now, can I. Haha.) Hey, I’m not super late today, that’s good too. Hope you liked these! 🌻

I loved these enough that I think they deserve to be on my own blog, too, haha. (I was empathsam’s anon for Wincest Love Week so yes, this is my writing.)
